More than 350 million computers are running Windows 10, and almost a million are being upgraded to Windows 10 every day.
Many users running Windows 10 Home are unaware of the fact that they can upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro version using Windows 7 Ultimate key, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 8 Pro, Windows 8.1 Pro.
Difference between Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro
Windows 10 Pro edition offers many features that Windows 10 Home edition does not have for example features like BitLocker, Hyper-V and Remote Desktop which are exclusive to Pro edition.
Upgrading from Windows 10 Home to Pro version using Windows 7/8 /8.1 key
Complete the instructions below to upgrade your Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro and activate a Windows 10 Pro license using a product key from one of the dows 7 Ultimate, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 8 editions Pro, Windows 8.1 Pro.
Important: This is the upgrade method to Windows 10 Pro that might not work after the free upgrade program ends on July 29, 2016.
NOTE: Product keys of other editions like Basic, Home, and Home Premium cannot be used to activate Professional edition of Windows 10.
Step 1: Open the Settings app's Settings by pressing the cog icon in the Start menu or use the Windows + L key combination to open quickly.
Step 2: Click Update & security> Activation
Step 3: Click on change product key, click Yes in the UAC dialog box if any.
Step 4: Enter the following key in the key fill box

Click the Next button to start upgrading Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro. Your PC may be restarted a couple of times during the upgrade.
Step 5: After upgrading to Pro version, repeat steps 1 to 4 and use Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 8 Pro, Windows 8.1 Pro, or Windows 8.1 Pro key to activate Windows license. Your 10 Pro.
Step 6: Use the key VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T to activate digital license for Windows 10 Pro.
