MultiBoot 2016 series on everything you need to know in this final section Tuan introduces the software groups used in Windows 10 PE. By default, the author has configured Auto script to automatically mount the iso Apps package to drive Y and Windows 10 PE in drive X is all taken from ram, not from HDD.

As Tuan mentioned in part 3 when you edit the Apps package saved to iso, remember to name it correctly with the iso of the original Apps package so can mount it to the virtual drive, or the error will not find Appx64.iso or Appx86 package. iso.

When booting into Windows 10 PE for the first time, Auto script will automatically mount the Apps package to drive Y running PEMenu.exe and the driver in the DrvPE folder

This driver package is mainly graphics driver and network driver including wifi, with most old machines getting all of them only with later laptops that may not receive the driver. If the machine receives the wifi network driver now you right click on the network icon below the taskbar and select Show main GUI

Switch to the wifi tab where you can connect to the normal wifi network.

To run certain software in the Apps package, there are 3 ways to run directly from the desktop shortcut, the second from PEMenu under the taskbar and the third go to drive Y> Apps> select the software in the folder you want to run. .

Here Tuan would like to introduce briefly 10 software directories corresponding to 10 software groups used for different purposes.

1. Antivirus

Just by hearing the name, everyone knows that this group includes 4 main anti-virus software

BkavDetectShortcutFileVirus: this fish shorcut virus is often used on USB

RemoveFakeAntivirus: fake antivirus

SalityRemover

tdsskiller

Typical in this group is Kaspersky TDSSKiller

2. Backup

This is the group to backup and restore the operating system compressed into a ghost or tib file or a wim file, typically Acronis True Image 2016 and Onekey ghost software both for UEFI and Legacy boot.

If Acronis True Image 2016 is professional in backup and restore, Onekey ghost is easy to manipulate and especially Onekey ghost can find hidden files anywhere, this True Image cannot do and Onekey ghost also backs up and recover wim file.

3. DrvPE

The group is to contain Driver PE, so we don't use it because Windows 10 PE has been configured to automatically run the driver in this directory.

4. Hardware

This is a comprehensive hardware testing group for desktop or laptop computers often used by technicians or buyers of old machines to use hardware testing.

AIDA64: comprehensive hardware checks in the machine.

CPU-Z: similar to AIDA64, easier to use, but not as detailed.

Defraggler: defragment the hard drive

HDTunePro: test HDD, SSD, USB.

HDTuneProDriveStatus: for quick information about HDD, SSD, USB

HWiNFO: Used to check mainboard and cpu information.

IsMyLcdOK: use the screen test.

KeyboardTest: tests hard buttons on the keyboard.

Unlocker: used to delete files.

Typical in this group are software AIDA64 and HDTunePro.

5. Internet

This group is only available when the typical network is Opera mini

6. Multimedia

This category includes software that can open ISO image files and burn them to disc such as FreeISOBurner and UltraISO.

FSCapture software is used to take pictures and can record the screen in Windows PE too. Finally, music player software called Potplayer

7. Office

If Windows on your computer is using Midrosoft Office application, in Windows 10 PE there is also similar office software that can read and edit files such as word, excel, powerpoint and pdf in general enough to meet the demand. Office use in Windows 10 PE if you need to use them.

8. PartitionToo

This is a group of hard drive partition management, consisting of software with similar functions:

EaseUS Partition Master

AOMEI Partition Assistant

Partition Guru

Mini tool partition wizard

There are also 3 software equally important.

Bootice: load boot for the partition

NTBOOTAutoFix: fix boot error

NTFStoFAT32Wizard: is used to convert the partition or usb format from Fat 32 to NTFS or vice versa without losing data.

Typical in this group is the software mini tool partition wizard

9. RecoveryTool
